Here is the Mission Statement our collective has approved:

-to preserve the important D.I.Y. ethics of our communities, while promoting musical acts we have hand-chosen from our communities.

-working in ways which will strengthen radical D.I.Y. community, and create opportunities for hard-working D.I.Y.-oriented musicians to gain exposure for their art.

-working to get our artists closer to the reality of making their music the closest thing they need to a job -- rather than remaining slaves to this unsustainable, industrial civilization's capitalist machines.

-building sustainable DIY community while spreading the art we love.  We reject all forms of discrimination and oppression (including but not limited to sexism, homophobia, racism, & capitalism).

-working to break down barriers created by such concepts as “scene” and/or “genre”. By exposing people to what is new to them, we can hope to build a broader base of support for good art, no matter what “genre”, and encourage people to abandon the false safety of “scene-mentality”—hopefully replaced by interest in building diverse community.
