shugE has always worked with a varied group of rotating back-up musicians, but last fall something different started to happen.  Nate Reider (from Pandoras Boxcutter). Kyle Toohey (from A Paper Cup Band), Chris Porto (from the Hunger Bone), and Andrew Jansen (from A Paper Cup Band) came together and with shugE decided to do much more than just be another shugE backup band.  Hayduke Lives! was born in October of 2007, playing songs that shugE had originally written and some select covers...getting ready to write completely new material as a band.

Hayduke Lives! has quickly matured into a band with a loyal fan-base and
reputation for dynamic live performances --  confident enough to begin
recording their first album of all-original songs.  While focusing on
recording this album, Hayduke Lives! is taking a hiatus from live
performances until April 11th, 2008.
